Boutique Carousel owner, Makashe Awogboro, created the business as a solution to the difficulty of finding christening presents in Lagos that are not toys. After speaking with other fellow mothers, who experienced the same problem, she realised that there was a gap in the market that needed to be filled. Lagos needed a place where one could buy memorable luxury baby gifts for milestone occasions such as christenings, first birthdays and baby showers.
